I hope that you and yours had a peaceful Christmas and managed to spend time with those you love.
Moving into the New Year always feels like a fresh start, a time to ponder the year gone by and look ahead. After a time of indulgency and social engagements now maybe the time to maybe give your body and mind a little rest
I’m not some-one for harsh detox’s and believe that our bodies naturally cleanse themselves, every time we sleep our bodies and minds are resting and rejuvenating.
What you may look to do is get back to some sort of routine, waking and sleeping at regular times, eating at meal times without snacking, therefore allowing your digestive system to fully process the food that you’re enjoying. Ensuring that you’re hydrated, warm water and teas are ideal at this time of year. Moving your body, ideally outside in the fresh air and allowing yourself some time to relax, that may take whatever form works for you, reading, spending time with those you love or watching a heart-warming film or baking, this always works for me and it’s when I’m at my happiest.
Be kind to yourself and spread that loving-kindness and joy to all those you meet, we are all connected.
